I. Characteristics and Functions of Introductions
Exercise 1: Bolded components are not subjects, as they do not perform the action or possess the quality discussed in the predicate.
Bolded words preceding the subject allude to the topic discussed within the sentence.
Exercise 2: Preceding these bolded words are words like 'still' (sentence a), 'with' (sentence c). These words all serve as conjunctions; additionally, one can add words like 'still', 'about' (sentence b), replace 'about' with 'towards' (sentence c).
