I. Reading the story and studying annotations
a) Reading the story: Read multiple times, focus on the third-person narrative, emphasize words such as: there was a frog, one year..., pay attention to actions expressed by adjectival phrases and verb phrases.
Example:
- There was a frog, with only a few tadpoles, making a loud croak that echoed throughout the well... (verb phrase).
- Only as small as a hat, the other creature was very frightened, majestic like a lord... (adjectival phrase).
b) Studying annotations: understand the nuances between phrases: cramped differs from noisy, howling differs from panicked, startled differs from suddenly; leaning differs from pouring, different from rising; swaggering differs from proudly swaying, recklessly raising.

The essence and lesson of the story: Finding the meaning must stem from the characters and their actions. Notice the following contrasting details: Below the well, everything is smaller, but above, there's only an arch - the frog deems itself lord of that space initially.
List some real-life scenarios corresponding to the proverb 'Frog at the bottom of the well': a. Being overconfident in one's studies and making mistakes on difficult tasks, resulting in poor grades. b. Someone who has never left their village but boasts about everything, often inaccurately, regarding their country or the world. c. When faced with a problem beyond one's limited understanding, it's wise to be cautious in speaking out. d. Boasting and looking down on others who are skilled, behaving arrogantly. e. People who cling to outdated beliefs without realizing they're outdated, also fit the description of 'frog at the bottom of the well.'
