After downloading the compressed image file, open the folder containing the downloaded file.

Proceed to extract the image files by right-clicking on the zip file and selecting Extract Here.

Thus, you have retrieved all the images embedded in that PDF file. The remaining task is simply to insert the extracted images into your Word document.

2. Capture Images Using Screen Capture
Nowadays, all PDF reader software will have the capability to capture images within their documents. TechWiz.com will demonstrate using the popular Foxit Reader software.
First, you need to open the PDF file from which you want to capture images.

Next, locate the SnapShot feature within the interface of this file. With Foxit Reader, it's located under the Tools tab of the Home ribbon on the toolbar.
Alternatively, you can use the key combination Alt + 7 to perform a similar function.

Other PDF reader software will also have the SnapShot feature, so you can search for a similar name.
After you click on this feature, your mouse cursor will change to a plus sign icon.
You can click and drag to create a rectangular area around the image.

The selected area will be covered in a green shade, creating an image in your clipboard.

At this point, you simply need to paste the image from this clipboard into your desired location in Word. You can right-click and select Paste, or use the Ctrl V shortcut.

However, it's important to note that images captured from PDFs will have pixel dimensions equal to the size of the images displayed on your computer screen.
Therefore, to have larger captured images, you need to zoom in on the page so that the images on the page are displayed larger as well.
Click on the plus sign icon to zoom in at the bottom right corner of the PDF reader software interface.

Once you feel the image is displayed large enough, perform the SnapShot to capture the image.

Now you have a larger image.
