How to Create an Arch Canopy in SketchUp
Step 1: Use the circle drawing tool on the left toolbar to sketch a circular arc.
Next, draw a smaller circle inside and an outline as shown in the image.
Step 2: Utilize the 3D shape tool on the left toolbar to extrude the shape from step 1 into a 3D form.
Step 3: Then, use the Midpoint tool to determine the center for the shape.
Step 4: Extend a line upwards from that center, then proceed to draw circular arcs as illustrated.
Also, draw a small circle and similar outlines as in step 1.
Step 5: Click on the shape below, then right-click and choose Explode.
Afterwards, click on the outer border of the shape.
Step 6: Next, select the 3D framing tool as shown and click on the surface of the circle drawn in step 4.
