In this tutorial, Mytour will demonstrate how to create comments in Word 2019, and the process is similar for Word 2016, 2013, and 2010 versions.
1. Creating a New Comment in Word
Step 1: In the text document, select the portion of text where you want to add a comment -> use the mouse to highlight that text.
Step 2: Go to the Review tab -> select New Comment as illustrated in the image below (This method applies to all Word versions from 2007 to 2019).
Another method is to use the mouse by highlighting the text -> right-click ->New Comment
Step 3: Next, input the content you want to note or annotate into the comment box on the right side of the screen.
Text sections you've commented on will be highlighted in red -> simply hover over the commented section to view the comment information.
2. Edit Comment in Word
To modify the content of a previously created comment, follow these steps:
Step 1: Hover over the Comment and edit the content as shown in the image below.
Step 2: Click Resolve to save the changes and blur this note. To make the annotation visible again, click Reopen.
3. Deleting Comments in Word
To delete a comment in Word, you have two methods to choose from:
Method 1: Right-click on the comment box -> select Delete comment
Method 2: Highlight the comment section -> click Delete on the Comment toolbar as shown in the image below:
