Creating multiple-choice quizzes on Quizizz online
Step 1: Access Quizizz HERE. Choose the appropriate login method. For example, input your email and password as shown below, then click 'Login' to sign in.
- Then, press 'Quiz'.
Step 2: Enter the quiz title in the 'Name this quiz' field. Next, select the relevant category from the options below in the 'Choose relevant subjects' section, then click 'Next'.
- If you prefer to use pre-existing questions, click on the search bar under Teleport questions. Alternatively, you can choose from the options below:
+ Multiple Choice: Select the correct answer from the options.
+ Checkbox: Tick the correct answer option(s).
+ Fill in the blank: Enter the correct answer in the field.
+ Poll: Participants vote for opinion polls.
+ Slide: Create a PowerPoint presentation for the quiz.
+ Open-ended: Enter responses freely.
- A series of questions related to your quiz topic will appear. For example, if your topic is Sulfur, questions related to Sulfur will be displayed. Find suitable questions and click 'Add' at the top to add them to your quiz.
Step 3: After adding the questions, click outside the red arrow area to return to your quiz.
- If you want to add more questions, click on the pink-purple box below as shown in the image.
- Now, you input the question and answers into respective fields. Then, you select the correct answer as shown (Answer A is correct) and click 'Save' to save the question. Repeat this for the subsequent questions.
Step 4: After completing the questions for the multiple-choice quiz, click on the image frame.
- Choose upload image, then proceed with the Select language part. Finally, click Save.
- Look at the top right corner, press 'Publish' to make the quiz public. Then click on 'Copy link', copy the quiz link, and send it to your students. The page will then display as shown in step 5.
Step 5: If you want students to do this multiple-choice quiz online, click on 'Start a live quiz'.
- Then, click on 'Classic'.
- Choose the 'Continue' option.
- Press 'or share via ...'
- Choose click 'Copy link' then send it to students.
- Try opening in a different browser and paste the copied link. The Quizizz page will appear as shown below, enter a name in the 'Your Quizizz name is ...' field and click 'Start'.
Step 6: On the quiz creation page, you'll see visitors to your quiz on the top right corner. When enough students join, click 'Start'.
- At this point, the page will start a countdown from 5 before entering the quiz.
- For students, the access page will appear as shown below. At this point, students select answers for each question.
- If the answer is incorrect, Quizizz will display INCORRECT in red.
- In the case of a correct answer, Quizizz will display CORRECT in green.
- On the teacher's side, correct and incorrect answers will be recorded. For example, for question 1 with no responses yet, it shows '0 correct, 0 incorrect'.
