Step-by-Step Guide to Creating Envelopes in Word 2003
Step 1: Go to Tools > Letters and Mailings > Mail Merge:
Step 2: Choose Envelopes and then click Next: Starting document to proceed to Step 2:
Step 3: Click on Envelope Options, and in the displayed table, adjust the parameters for the envelope or leave them as default. Then, click OK:
Step 4: Go to File > Page Setup:
In the displayed table, navigate to Layout > Borders to create borders for the envelope:
Next, choose the style you want for your envelope and click OK. Then, click Next: Select recipients to proceed to Step 3:
Step 5: Add the Excel file containing recipient information by clicking the Browse button. Locate and select the file, then click Open:
Step 6: Choose the sheet containing the information of the individuals you want to send letters to:
In the next table, you can choose individuals who will send letters or leave it default to select all, then click OK. Afterward, click Next: Arrange your envelope to proceed to Step 4:
Step 7: Proceed to fill in sender and recipient information on the envelope. To add recipient details like Name, Address, etc., click More items. In the displayed table, select the attribute you want to insert into the envelope and click Insert:
Similarly, click More items to insert additional fields. Once all information is inserted, click Next: Preview your envelopes to move to Step 5:
At Step 5, you can click on the arrow icon as shown to preview the envelope. If it's correct, proceed by clicking Next: Complete the merge to reach Step 6:
Step 8: Click on Edit individual envelopes, then choose All in the displayed table, and click OK to complete the envelope creation process:
