With the rise of high-quality games, applications, and movies, the ISO compression format has become the standard, accessible by any compression and decompression software. In the following guide, Mytour instructs you on the quickest and simplest method to create ISO files using WinRAR.
WinRAR only supports viewing and extracting ISO files. ISO files created with WinRAR can only be viewed and extracted using WinRAR software. If you create ISO files from Boot disks or Windows, you may encounter a 'File corrupt' error. It's advisable to create ISO files using specialized software like PowerISO, UltraISO, etc.
Step 1: Right-click on the folder you wish to create an ISO file for (1) => Add to archive... (2).
Step 2: Change the compressed file extension to .iso (1). Then, select the compressed file format as .RAR (2) => OK (3).
The file compression process will then take place.
And finally, we have a complete compressed .iso file as shown below.
Step 3: To open this ISO file, right-click on the file (1) and select Open with WinRAR (2). Instead of opening the ISO file with WinRAR, you can choose the Extract... command to directly extract the file with WinRAR software.
