How to Draw Mind Maps, Create Mind Maps with iMindMap Software
1. Preparation Requirements
First, you need to install the iMindMap software on your computer. If you don't know where to download the software installer, you can click on the quick download link below.

On the software download screen, click on the Download button on the website's toolbar, then choose the version to download and proceed with the installation.
2. Account Registration Process
After completing the installation, follow these steps to register an account and use iMindMap.
Step 1: Right-click on the iMindMap software icon on your device. Select Run as administrator.
Step 2: In the new window that appears, click on the Agree button to agree to the terms of use.
Step 3: Click on the flag icon to select the working language, then choose Select.
Step 4: Here, iMindMap offers users 2 options:
- Activate iMindMap: Activate, use iMindMap with a license.
- I want a Free Trial: Use the free trial version.
In this example, Mytour chooses I want a Free Trial.
Step 5: Enter information, including: Email address, register account name, and password. Then press Sign Up.
Step 6: So you have successfully registered an iMindMap account, the software will display a notification asking you to check your inbox.
The initial working interface of the software will be defaulted as shown below.
3. Guidance on Drawing Mind Maps with iMindMap
Step 1: Open the iMindmap software with Run as administrator
Step 2: Create a new mind map. From the main screen, you click New.

Step 3: Here, you click select layout, then click Start

Step 4: Left-click to name the Central Idea or simply the main title of the mind map.

Step 5: Hover over the Central Idea, the software presents users with 2 options to create Branches for the map:
- Branch: Create a smooth branch, users write content next to the branch.
- Box Branch: Create a branch with accompanying text box.

Step 6: After completing the mind map, click on File in the software's menu bar and select Export & Share.

Step 7: Users can choose to export files in various formats. However, in this example, we will select the Image icon to export the file as an image.

Step 8: In the Image File tab, you adjust image parameters such as size, resolution,... to your liking, then select Export.

Step 9: Select the folder and name the file to save the image of the mind map just created. Additionally, you can click on the Files of type section to choose to save in the format: JPEG, PNG, or PDF. Finally, click Export.
