Creating polls on Messenger facilitates discussions and expressing opinions effortlessly. If you're unfamiliar with creating polls on Messenger, the following guide will assist you in doing so.
1. Creating Opinion Polls on Messenger
1.1. On Desktop
Step 1: Click on the + icon (1) => Create Opinion Poll (2).
Step 2: Name your question (1) => create options (2) and add additional choices (3) if needed. Click Create Opinion Poll (4) to finish.
Step 3: Once created, click on Vote to begin.
Step 4: Provide your selection (1) => Send (2).
Afterwards, you can track the voting results in messages.
1.2. On Android
Step 1: Tap on the icon :: (1) => Opinion Poll (2).
Step 2: Choose Text Poll (1). Then, set the title for the comment (2) and create Options (3). Click Create Opinion Poll (4) to finish.
Step 3: To vote, tap the Vote button (1) => make your selection (2) => Send (3).
Afterwards, the voting results will display on the screen along with the voting percentage.
1.3. On iOS
Step 1: Tap on the icon + (1) => Vote (2) => Opinion Poll (3) => tap on the text area (4).
Step 2: Set the title for the poll (1) and create options (2). Then, tap on Create Opinion Poll (3) to create the poll. To start voting, simply tap on Vote (4).
Step 3: Provide your selection (1) => Send (2) and the voting results will be displayed within Messenger.
2. Creating Multiple Choice Polls on Messenger
With this poll, we can only create and vote on Messenger for Android and iOS. Messenger on desktop does not have this option, and you'll receive a notification like the image below if the poll has been created on the mobile version of Messenger.
2.1. On iOS
Step 1: Tap on the icon + (1) => Vote (2) => Possibilities (3). Then, swipe the slider (4) upwards to expand the options.
Step 2: Set the question title (1) and mark the selected people (2). Then, tap on Send question (3) to start voting. To participate in the vote, simply tap on Vote (4).
Step 3: Choose the person to vote for (1) => Send (2). Afterwards, you'll see the results displayed after you've voted.
2.2. On Android
Step 1: Tap on the icon :: (1) => Opinion Poll (2).
Step 2: Choose The most likely option will (1) => set the question (2) and the participants (3). Click Send question (4) to finish. To participate in the vote, simply click Vote (5).
Step 3: Choose the person to vote for (1) => Send (2). The result will be displayed after voting.
