How to Create and Customize Borders in Google Docs
Method 1: Creating a 1x1 Table
As mentioned by Mytour earlier, the simplest way to create or add borders in Google Docs is by crafting a 1x1 table:
To begin, access the Google Docs homepage, then click on Blank.
On the new Docs window displayed on your screen, locate and click on Insert (insert) =>Table (table) => 1 x 1.
Proceed to adjust the size of the cells according to your preferences.
Next, locate and click on the three-dot icon located at the top right corner of the screen to open the menu containing additional options such as background color, border color, border width, and dashed border display.
Go to the Google Docs homepage, then click on Blank.
On the new Docs window displayed on the screen, click on Insert =>Drawing =>New .
Next, on the Drawing window, find and click on the Shape icon as shown below, then select the Shapes option and choose any border you want.
Once done, click on Save and Close .
Drag the edges of the shape on the screen to create borders in Google Docs.
To modify the formatting, simply click on the border, and a menu will appear on the screen, where you can click on Edit.
