In commemoration of the 55th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's visit, Yen Bai province organizes the 'Culture, Sports, and Tourism Week at the national scenic site of terraced fields in Mù Cang Chải in 2013.'
The event will take place from September 26th to 29th, mainly in the communes of La Pan Tan, De Xu Phinh, Che Cu Nha, and the center of Mù Cang Chải district.
An award ceremony and photo exhibition of the 'Beautiful Tourism Photos of Eight Northwestern Provinces' contest will also be held during this event.

To ensure that the program's activities proceed according to plan, the Provincial People's Committee suggests that the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Mù Cang Chải district and related departments pay special attention to propaganda for the events; closely coordinate between departments; and develop budget estimates with a spirit of thrift but high efficiency.
The Provincial People's Committee also suggests paying attention to the exhibition activity 'Cross-eyed View,' reflecting the friendly cooperation between Yen Bai province and the Val-de-Marne region (France).
Tour packages during the festival must ensure the organization process, detailed plans for reception, community-oriented accommodations, and photography exhibitions need to pay attention to the quantity and quality of photos for harmony and suitability.
The Culture, Sports, and Tourism Week in Mù Cang Chải 2013 is an opportunity for the people of various ethnic groups in Mù Cang Chải district specifically, and Yen Bai province in general, to revisit the revolutionary tradition, the heroic struggle spirit of the army and people in the resistance wars against the French colonialists and the American empire; elevate the revolutionary spirit of officials, party members, and people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
This is also an opportunity to promote the image of the national scenic site of terraced fields in Mù Cang Chải, as well as the unique indigenous culture of the H'mong people to tourists at home and abroad.
