Continuing its streak of success, Cyberpunk 2077 is now setting new records.
Recently, the gaming community was taken by surprise when Neymar expressed fondness for a mobile MOBA game.
As 2022 comes to a close, it has been a year filled with numerous blockbusters like Elden Ring, Overwatch 2, and many others. However, for many, Cyberpunk 2077's resurgence is even more highly regarded than the aforementioned hits. Once a game inundated with countless negative reviews and labeled a failure from the outset, Cyberpunk 2077 has undergone a remarkable transformation.

Released in October 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 was expected to set a new standard for the gaming world with its captivating advertisements and trailers. However, it was followed by a dark period for the project and its developer, CD Projekt Red. The game encountered numerous technical issues, especially on console platforms, to the extent that Sony had to remove it from its PlayStation store for several months. CD Projekt Red's stock plummeted due to Cyberpunk 2077's issues. However, with relentless improvement efforts, the developer has finally reaped the rewards with Cyberpunk 2077's unexpected revival.
Accordingly, since the release of the animated adaptation Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, interest in Cyberpunk 2077 has surged significantly. Just a month ago, CD Projekt Red recorded approximately 86,000 concurrent players daily - a remarkable growth compared to the game's past performance. But remarkably, just a month later, the figure of 86,000 continues to witness a significant increase.

Specifically, on the game's Twitter, CD Projekt Red joyfully announced to Cyberpunk 2077 fans that the game has reached 1 million active players consistently for four consecutive weeks. In other words, in just one month, the player base of Cyberpunk 2077 has increased over tenfold, further affirming CD Projekt Red's accurate dedication to the project.
Alongside positive game-related news, many Cyberpunk 2077 enthusiasts are also anticipating CD Projekt Red's development of the sequel to the successful animated series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners mentioned earlier. However, the developer asserts that at present, they are focusing on expanding versions of Cyberpunk 2077 and have no plans to continue the development of the next installment of the animated series.
