Congratulations to Team Da Nang, representing Vietnam, for securing the Best Display Award in 2014 at Global Fest - the International Fireworks Festival 2014 Trico Homes held last week in Canada.

This heartfelt congratulations comes from the Canadian Embassy in Vietnam on their official Facebook page. The GlobalFest.ca website has also published this information.
The Da Nang team's performance took place on the evening of August 19, accompanied by the mandatory and exclusive OneWorld Fanfare music of GlobalFest 2014.

According to the results, the Kid’s Choice Award (voted by children) went to the team from France, and the People’s Choice Award (audience voted) went to Thailand. Last year (2013), the Best of Award was presented to the fireworks team from France.
GlobalFest 2014 took place over 5 nights on August 14, 16, 19, 21, and the final on August 23, 2014 (local time). The event was held in the city of Calgary in the province of Alberta in Southern Canada, where the 1998 Winter Olympics were once held.
The idea for this fireworks competition originated in 1993 but only gained true fame in 2003, attracting over 10,000 attendees, including locals and tourists. Three countries showcased their performances, and ten cultural booths displayed remarkable exhibits.
GlobalFest 2014 plays a role as a non-profit social activity to showcase and preserve cultural diversity and art within the community of various ethnicities living in Calgary, Alberta, as well as globally. A destination—the gathering place of world cultures—is the goal of GlobalFest.
In Vietnam, Da Nang is the host city for the annual international fireworks competition.
