1. Daikin's Streamer electric discharge technology effectively filters air pollutants.
Daikin air conditioners integrate the high-speed Plasma Streamer electric discharge system, decomposing up to 99.9% of harmful bacteria and viruses, contributing to a healthy living environment.
In response to the increasing air pollution, Daikin has researched and applied the exclusive Streamer air filtration technology, effectively decomposing harmful substances. Streamer is one of the proud technologies of the Japanese air conditioning brand with nearly 100 years of history.

Streamer's bactericidal mechanism
Streamer is a high-speed electron current device, installed inside the machine's evaporator. Streamer technology helps decompose harmful viruses and bacteria through oxidative decomposition.
First, Streamer emits high-speed electron flow (plasma discharge) at high speed. Thanks to the acceleration, these electrons carry high energy levels. When combined with nitrogen and oxygen in the air, the electrons create decomposing molecules, attacking harmful viruses and bacteria clinging to the filter fins inside the machine by decomposing their surface and then completely destroying their internal structure.
The remains of harmful bacteria and viruses are incinerated and retained on the filter membrane instead of being carried along the air stream blown into the room. When users clean the machine, the remains of these harmful substances will be washed away through the drain pipe to the outside.

Compared to traditional plasma discharge technology, the current generated by Streamer is estimated to be 1,000 times faster, equivalent to a heat source of up to 100,000 degrees Celsius, effectively decomposing molecules of odors, dust, mold, bacteria...
Bactericidal efficiency and applications of Streamer
According to test results from various units such as the Japan Food Research Laboratory, Okayama University of Science... from 2004-2018, Streamer has the ability to eliminate 99.9% of molds, bacteria. In addition to its bactericidal ability, this technology also helps keep the heat sink clean when combined with the Mold Proof anti-mold function on the machine.
Daikin currently integrates Streamer on the new FTKZ air conditioner series released this year. To enhance air filtration efficiency, Daikin air conditioners are also equipped with Enzyme Blue filters, which help eliminate unpleasant odors and reduce allergies to pollen, dust, pet dander, mold...
In addition to supporting improved user health, the company's air conditioners also aim to create a comfortable life and protect health through the application of many modern features. Such as the Coanda airflow distributing evenly throughout the room, avoiding direct blowing on people, optimal humidity balance technology Hybrid Cooling, or D'Mobile - smart control via smartphone...
The Streamer feature is also equipped on the Daikin air purifier to enhance air filtration efficiency for the mechanical filter system (including coarse filters, odor removal filters, and HEPA electrostatic dust filters). Daikin's Hepa filters have a lifespan of up to 10 years, helping users save filter replacement costs.
