1. Steps for Data Formatting
Step 1: Select the data to be formatted -> Right-click -> Choose Format Cells.

Step 2: The dialog box appears -> Select the Number tab to choose the formatting type.

2. Selecting Data Types
Data formats are displayed in the Category section.

2.1. General Formatting

- Negative Numbers: Determines how negative numbers are displayed. There are 4 options as shown in the illustration.

2.3. Currency Format: Formatting for currency types.
Similar to the Number format, but with the difference that this format allows adding currency units to the left of the value, for example $...

2.4. Accounting Format
- Similar to the Currency format, but with the difference that currency units are aligned flush with each other.

2.5. Date Format
Type: Choose the display type: Date -> Month -> Year or display date and month... There are many options for you.
Locale: Select the region to display the date.
Note: When you select the date format, if you enter the wrong format, the system will still revert to the correct format of that data column.

2.6. Time Format
Allows users to enter time in various formats. Choose the display format for time in the Type section.

2.7. Percentage Format
Regarding percentage formatting, you choose the number of decimal places displayed in the Decimal Places section.
With this format, the '%' sign always accompanies the number.

2.8. Fraction Format
Fraction formatting allows users to choose the format type to display in the Type section. There are many ways to display:

2.9. Scientific Format
- Displays numbers in exponential form. For example:
2.00E+0.5 = 200.000
2.05E+0.5 = 205.000
- You choose the number of digits displayed after the decimal point in the Decimal Places section.
For example: selecting the value 1 => result 6.8E + 03

2.10. Text Format
Text format. Note that on this data range, you cannot perform calculations even if you see them as numbers.

2.11. Special Format
Special formatting types for phone numbers.
Choose the display type in the Type section, with 4 options available.

2.12. Custom Format
Custom formats defined by users can be based on existing formats. For example, based on the format 'm/d/yyyy', you can have the format 'Month m Day d Year yyy' by entering it in the Type section as shown in the illustration.
