Internet Explorer, a longstanding browser and default for Windows OS, has been encountering an increasing number of users who, when using the browser to surf the web, always receive the error message 'Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience'. This implies that you are forced to close the browser, and if not closed, the browser will close on its own.
Fixing the 'Internet Explorer has encountered...' error
Step 1: Open the IE browser, press Alt on the keyboard to display the toolbar, then select Tools --> Internet Options.
Access the General tab, navigate to Browsing history --> Delete to clear all browser data such as browsing history, cookies, or temporary files...
Click OK to save the settings.
Step 2: Uninstall IE and reinstall Internet Explorer.
Step 3: After installation, configure the browser to block Add-ons (this method has been instructed by Mytour in the article 'Fixing Internet Explorer cannot display webpage error'.
