iTunes is software that facilitates direct connection between a computer and devices utilizing the iOS operating system. However, whenever users reinstall their computer, reinstall iTunes, or upgrade to a new version for their iOS device, they often encounter the error message 'Unknown error occurred (0xE8000012)'.
Fixing the iTunes Unknown Error (0xE8000012)
Step 1: Disconnect all connections between the computer and iOS devices. Exit iTunes.
Step 2: Open My Computer --> Folder Options
* Windows XP: Open Windows Explorer (or My Computer), on the toolbar, click Tools --> Folder Options
* Windows 7: Open Windows Explorer --> Organize --> Folder and search options
Step 3: The Folder Options window opens --> Go to View --> Checkmark in the 'Show hidden files and folders' section to display hidden files and folders on the computer.
Click OK
Step 4: Navigate to the path C:\ProgramData\Apple and delete the Lockdown folder
After completing the above steps, users simply need to connect their iOS devices and reopen iTunes. Use iTunes to directly transfer music to iPad on the computer.
