“Adventuring or wooing” is Trang Hạ's retort to vlogger Duhocsinhmy, as the young content creator contends that true adventure travel doesn't exist in Vietnam.
Just a few days after being uploaded on YouTube and Facebook, Duhocsinhmy's video titled “Experiencing True Adventure Travel in Vietnam is Impossible” has sparked waves in the online community of adventure and extreme sports enthusiasts. Recently, Trang Hạ – a renowned blogger and author – has countered this Vlog with a new article of her own. The right or wrong remains uncertain, but this topic is heating up and drawing close attention from the community!
Trang Hạ – Adventurer or Charmer?
Based on her experiences and those of her friends, Trang Hạ believes that Vietnam indeed has true adventure and extreme sports; it's just that people may not know or have a narrow definition of them.
This perspective from Trang Hạ has garnered support, with many commenting that Lê Hưng is like a 'frog at the bottom of the well' as he claims to define and evaluate something he may have never experienced.
Furthermore, according to Trang Hạ, authentic adventure travel and extreme sports in comparison to those in developed countries worldwide are diverse and, more importantly, whether they are 'authentic' depends on the traveler's mindset, something Duhocsinhmy seems oblivious to!
It's not only Trang Hạ's fans, but some other Facebook pages are also buzzing about this topic. Perhaps because Trang Hạ somewhat accurately captures the 'mentality' of adventure and extreme sports enthusiasts in Vietnam, unlike the 'keyboard heroes'.
Renowned female photographer Maika, who has documented many impressive moments on adventurous journeys, also expressed her opinion: “...The best thing is just to go, right? Duhocsinhmy seems to know everything, probably has traveled a lot, from the bed to the computer desk, hehe”. Clearly, this guy is not only causing a stir in the online community but also attracting the attention of seasoned adventure travelers and extreme sports enthusiasts!
Lê Hưng – Shocking but not entirely wrong!
However, on this topic, there are also opinions that Lê Hưng's statements in the video are very straightforward. And this Vblog is not entirely wrong; the things he 'criticizes' could help some groups reconsider the true meaning of adventure travel combined with the adventurous nature of sports, games... and how it could be a positive way for tourism improvement in Vietnam!
Everyone has their arguments and reasoning, but clearly public opinion is currently divided into two trends when answering questions like: Is true adventure travel, specifically 'adventure and extreme sports,' present in Vietnam? And how, what qualifies as true adventure travel?
In reality, the tale of exploratory travel and extreme sports has always been discussed on various personal pages, forums, and more. However, perhaps this is the first time it has been spoken so candidly and garnered such attention and numerous comments. The online community and those truly passionate about adventure travel are eagerly awaiting Lê Hưng's next moves following this 'counterattack' by Trang Hạ.
