We've all had moments where we forget our phones for a few hours, only to find a slew of notifications waiting for us when we return. Typically, you might glance through the entire list of notifications before deleting them, or you might delay addressing each notification until it's too late, or worse, completely forget about them.
Fortunately, Android 8.0 Oreo has brought a different solution to one of the most common issues: the notification delay feature. Now, you can easily temporarily hide a series of notifications, allowing them to appear at a later time when you have more availability. (or you can continue delaying these notifications if you wish).
Here's how to delay notifications on Android Oreo
2. Select the notification you want to postpone and gently swipe it to the right of the screen, to avoid deleting it completely. Stop swiping when you see the clock and gear icons appear on the left side of the notification.
3. Tap on the clock icon.
4. The default snooze time is 1 hour, but you can adjust it to 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 2 hours.
