Accompanying a host of new features in iOS 10 such as Siri, Apple Maps, or iMessage with significant changes that make users eager to upgrade from iOS 9 to iOS 10 immediately, another feature has been allowed in this version: allowing users to delete default apps on iOS 10. Compared to the upgrade to iOS 9, this iOS 10 update truly brings many changes.
Allowing the deletion of default apps on iOS 10 is Apple's latest move, allowing users the freedom to use the apps they like and remove those that are quite 'useless' because they are never needed or relevant. For example, in Vietnam, apps like Stocks or Podcasts are rarely used, or even Watch because not everyone owns an Apple smartwatch.
Cleaning up the list of deleted apps amounts to nearly 20 default apps. If you can delete all of them, your device will free up some storage space, and besides, you can use alternative apps. For example, instead of Mail, we have Gmail, or for Video, you can use apps like YouTube to watch directly. Additionally, Reminders or Notes can be replaced by popular apps like Evernote.
However, there are still some basic apps that users are not allowed to delete, such as Apple Store, Apple Music, or Messages, payment apps on the iPhone. These are all apps that Apple currently does not allow you to delete or replace.
