Step 1. Prepare the ingredients
Cut the beef into bite-sized squares.

Clean the onions and carrots, peel them, and dice them finely.
Wash the celery thoroughly and chop it into small pieces.

Cover with a lid and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 1 and a half to 2 hours or until the meat is tender.

Introduce potatoes, carrots, and celery. Cover and continue cooking, occasionally stirring for another 20 to 30 minutes until the vegetables are tender.


For a thick stew, mix flour with 1/3 cup cold water; stir until smooth. Gently stir the flour mixture into the pot little by little, using as much or as little as desired to achieve the desired thickness of the stew.

Add pepper and season with spices, optionally adding salt if needed.

Serve the simmered beef in a large bowl, optionally garnish with a sprinkle of finely chopped herbs.
