Dell continues to enhance its Mobile Connect app, enabling users to send and receive SMS messages and make/receive calls from their computers. Ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the company unveiled several improvements to the app. Starting this spring, you won't need an Android device to mirror your screen or wirelessly transfer files anymore. This feature will also work with iOS devices.
How Dell accomplishes this precisely remains a mystery as it's something no one else can do. For instance, Microsoft's Your Phone app hardly functions when you connect an iPhone to your computer—it can't even send or receive texts. The issue is that Apple devices don't play well with non-Apple ones. Dell has confirmed that they're not using AirDrop or AirPlay for this purpose.

The company also introduces a new service called Cinema Guide. It serves as a hub for all your services, including some that don't even have native Windows 10 apps, such as Amazon Prime Video. Choosing something to watch will launch the native app if it exists or the web app.
Dell Cinema Guide is now available, while the new features for Mobile Connect will be rolled out within the timeframe around February/March this year.
