Assignment:
From birth to adulthood, and even beyond, the pursuit of learning, acquiring knowledge is a never-ending endeavor. We learn to improve ourselves, to achieve milestones on the path to realizing our dreams. It's not just about learning letters, but also about learning how to behave. Our ancestors have a proverb advising us: 'Learn to Eat, Learn to Speak, Learn to Package, Learn to Unveil'.
Learning is a lifelong journey that every individual must pursue diligently, to absorb knowledge, refine oneself, and contribute to the homeland. Apart from acquiring academic knowledge in school, people also need to learn proper conduct. Therefore, our ancestors have a saying: 'Learn to Eat, Learn to Speak, Learn to Package, Learn to Unveil.' This proverb is a very wise advice.
Exploring the essence of the proverb, we find that the ancient advice encompasses three aspects: People need to learn to eat elegantly, speak graciously, and behave skillfully, at the right time and place. Regarding the advice to 'learn to eat,' we can see its truthfulness. Eating is how individuals express their level of culture and refinement. Every country in the world has its own culinary culture, demonstrating the importance of learning proper dining etiquette. Gentle and refined individuals exhibit lovely dining manners. Our ancestors have a saying: 'The way you eat is the way you are perceived.' It means that meals should be meaningful, adapting behavior according to the situation to earn others' affection and respect. To cultivate children's character, grandparents and parents always emphasize the importance of refined dining. All of these aspects show the real need to 'learn to eat' to further refine human character.
After learning to eat, one must certainly 'learn to speak,' as words are the crucial communication tool of every individual. Artful speech helps deepen relationships and bonds between people. Articulate and gentle words make listeners better understand the issue, and from there, the effectiveness of speech increases, bringing success to eloquent speakers. Former U.S. President Obama is hailed as a skilled orator. He believes that 'Words can change the world.' Our ancestors also had advice:
Words cost nothing to buy
Choose words to please each other.
Understanding the importance of 'learning to speak' is as crucial as mastering other forms of knowledge acquisition. Learning to speak must begin with mastering the use of Vietnamese accurately and effectively. It also requires cultivating good character because words truly reflect one's personality.
The proverb also advises people to 'learn to package, learn to unveil.' In life, there are many complex situations that require us to behave wisely to solve them smoothly. Relationships between people, besides honesty, also require discretion. Some situations call for us to 'package' things neatly to end the hassle. For example, conflicts in daily life should be handled delicately, especially among friends and classmates. There are also times when we must 'unveil' our hearts to understand the feelings of those around us, to empathize, help, and share joys and sorrows in life. Learning to 'package and unveil' is in line with behavioral rules such as gratitude, family harmony, or respecting teachers and teachings.
In summary, as students, part of the young generation of the country, learning is always a top priority. Each of us needs a proper, comprehensive learning method, learning both knowledge and how to behave in life, learning to be good people, and striving for self-improvement in all aspects. Only then can we achieve success and become useful individuals.
