Đèo Mẻ Pia is situated on national highway 4A with a total length of only 2.5km, but due to its steep incline, it has been divided into 14 sections, forming the winding road we see today. The entire pass is located in Xuân Trường commune, connecting to the center of Bảo Lạc district, which shares a border with China.
