Walking down the streets of Hanoi, I can feel the scent of milk flowers, not too strong, just a gentle blend with the aroma of dried leaves that makes me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I also see flower vendors with bicycles full of flowers. And the beloved flower here is the white magnolia - a pure, delicate flower. The graceful girls in ao dai holding bouquets of magnolias are the image I like the most. It's the beauty of simplicity, the charm of Vietnamese girls. Walking a little further, I see a couple preparing for their wedding photoshoot. Indeed, autumn is also the season of love, the time they choose to tie the knot. Autumn is so beautiful, bringing us so much meaning and happiness.
Continuing my walk along the pedestrian street, I arrived at Hoan Kiem Lake - considered the heart of the capital. A spacious area unfolds before my eyes, Hoan Kiem Lake is much more beautiful and vibrant than the photos and paintings I've seen. Perhaps it's autumn in Hanoi that has made the lakeside scenery so vivid and beautiful. Surrounding the lake are ancient trees, their branches gracefully leaning over, casting shadows on the water, creating magnificent reflections. The image of leaning phoenix trees, like young girls admiring their reflection in the lake, is captivating. Though the phoenix flowers have withered on the trees, there are still some lingering blossoms, late bloomers adorning the scene even more beautifully.
The ancient banyan trees by the lake stretch their roots down to the water's edge, resembling a maiden letting down her long hair to gaze at her reflection. The lake is calm, occasionally there are gentle waves lapping at the shore. In the middle of the lake stands the Pen Tower, casting its reflection on the water. In the distance lies Ngoc Son Temple, with the red-painted Huc Bridge standing out against the lake. This place is of great interest to both domestic and foreign tourists, famous for its rich history and beauty. Legend has it that during the time of the Le dynasty, at this very spot, after borrowing the magic sword from the Golden Turtle, the Golden Turtle took back the sword, hence this place is called Hoan Kiem Lake or Sword Lake. The azure sky of autumn, along with the clear water of the lake, makes it impossible for me not to take a photo. Such a beautiful scene that anyone who has once beheld it will remember forever.
This is autumn in Hanoi, with its own unique charm compared to elsewhere, and only here can one truly feel the autumnal weather. Autumn in Hanoi with its street vendors, not only selling flowers but also the aroma of Com - Vong village. That image is deeply ingrained in my mind. The fragrant, sticky Com - a taste of young rice, wrapped in layers of lotus leaves, creates a flavor that cannot be surpassed. In the autumn weather, enjoying the chewy and fragrant Com, that is truly a memorable experience, leaving behind unforgettable memories.
