The central star symbolized the ancient Vietnamese tradition of worshipping the Sun God, while the eighteen stars surrounding it represented the eighteen Hùng Kings. This ancient vase dates back to the Nguyen Dynasty, surviving through the ages. Legend has it that this vessel holds the essence of earth and sky, a sacred object capable of connecting with deities. Hence, the vase is always revered and nurtured like a treasure.
The entire porcelain vase, white as snow, seamlessly blends with green floral patterns, creating a harmonious and elegant color palette. The floral designs are divided into three distinct parts: the neck, body, and the base. The softly designed neck features intertwining wave-like patterns, providing a sense of harmony to observers. Moving to the body, green floral patterns, resembling climbing vines, emanate from the left corner of the vase, delicately painted with a lifelike and vivid touch. The base completes the structure with two green ink strokes, forming a cohesive texture for the entire vase.
The combination of snow-white porcelain enamel and green hues gives the vase a harmonious, lively, yet antique and dignified appearance. From the first sight, I couldn't take my eyes off it, captivated by its alluring and refined beauty. Many, like me, come to admire the beauty of this vase and listen to its history, drawn to its captivating charm.
I adore that vase. After that visit, its image remained vivid in my mind. I will strive to excel in my studies, hoping my parents will take me to the museum again.
