1. Describing one of my study tools: Describing the study desk
At the beginning of this school year, my parents decided to rearrange my study corner. It's positioned next to the window, facing the refreshing green garden of my grandfather. Simultaneously, my dad decided to reward me with a brand-new, incredibly charming desk.
My new study desk is rectangular, made from recycled wood scraps, yet incredibly sturdy. It's about a meter long, providing enough space for comfortable studying. The width of the desk is seventy centimeters. The surface is smooth, glossy, and has a beautiful sea-blue color. Craftsmen cleverly adorned the surface with decorative Doraemon stickers, featuring numerous adorable gestures. Instead of four long legs, the desk has three pressed wood panels, resembling the tabletop, joined together to ensure stability. Not only that, my new desk is also connected to three neat bookshelves above. Oh, it's fantastic because I can neatly arrange my textbooks in one compartment, fairy tale books in another, and unused and used notebooks in separate sections.
The new desk is truly convenient, so I often tidy it up and add decorations to make it even more vibrant. On the left side of the desk, there's an extra space where I've placed my adorable teddy bear, Misa. Now, every study session, Misa is my study buddy, accompanying me on my learning journey. The desk is also comfortable as it has a wooden bar designed for me to put my feet up comfortably while studying. What an amazing desk!
Last autumn, my dad went on a business trip far away. When he returned, the first gift he gave me was a warm hug and a brand new, incredibly charming fountain pen.
The fountain pen looks absolutely stunning! It's sleek and slender, with a deep black color mixed with a hint of shine. On the pen's body, my name is engraved, as my dad explained, he had his friend specially engrave it as a unique gift for his daughter. The outer shell of the pen is adorned with a vibrant golden trim, making it truly stand out. The pen is as long as my forearm, perfectly round and incredibly adorable. The pen cap has a shiny golden clip, convenient for securing the pen to my notebook or pad after each use. When I open the cap, the stainless steel nib gleams before my eyes. The nib is large and tapers towards the tip. Moreover, it is constructed with a chicken feather to help pump ink into the pen while writing. The feather is made of soft rubber, extending about two-thirds of the pen's body. Inside the feather, there is a small tube that guides the ink up. Each time I pump ink into the pen, I gently squeeze the rubber feather to draw ink from the inkwell below.
On the first day of using the new pen, the pen was scratchy, and the ink was pale. However, just a while later, the pen consistently produced ink, creating beautiful, well-defined letters under my careful hands. With this beloved pen, I am sure that I will improve my handwriting day by day, becoming more refined and precise.
Nowadays, there are many types of pens with pre-filled ink, no need for ink pumping. However, for me, the fountain pen remains the most trustworthy and essential writing tool. I will take good care of it and strive to study well to live up to my dad's trust in me.
3. Describe an educational item: Describe the school bag
To prepare for the back-to-school day, my mom took me out to get ready and shop for clothes as well as new study essentials. Among those items, my favorite is undoubtedly my brand-new school bag.
My new school bag measures about fifty centimeters in length and has a beautiful shade of blue. It's the type of backpack designed to prevent back strain, recommended for students carrying multiple books. With its charming shade of blue, the bag is adorned with an adorable image of Doraemon, the iconic robotic cat, waving hello. In the image, Doraemon is raising his paws into the air in a cheerful greeting. The bag is made of durable leather material, ensuring its longevity.
The first time I laid hands on it, the sensation was incredibly delightful. The bag feels cool to the touch, emanating the scent of new belongings. Inside the bag, there are three compartments: one for textbooks, two for exercise notebooks, and the third for me to keep my pencil case. Each compartment is separated by black plastic dividers.
In addition to the essay about my Description of a study tool, students can also refer to some Grade 4 good essays describing other study tools and objects such as: Describing my pen box, Describing my school drum, Describing the clock in my house, Describing the clothes I wore to class today.
