In our household, we have a cat named Miu. We've had Miu for just a few months, but it has grown rapidly, partly because it's very eager to eat and diligently practices stalking mice.
I've witnessed many chases between the cat and the mice, and each time, the cat emerges victorious. The most impressive occasion was when it stalked a mouse in the kitchen. Miu is a tabby cat with a coat of fur that is a smooth blend of yellow and white. It has bright blue eyes that shine, and long whiskers. Curled up in a cardboard box, it heard a noise in the kitchen. Without hesitation, it stood up, raised its tail, and swiftly dashed into the kitchen. Its large, round eyes scanned the surroundings intently. Once it had identified the mouse's position, it moved cautiously, step by step, its small, padded paws allowing it to move silently, approaching the mouse. The mouse was probably hiding in a gap in the cupboard, inaccessible to the cat, but it had no choice but to come out. The cat lay in wait, ready to pounce as soon as the mouse emerged. When the mouse fell into the trap, thinking the cat had left, Miu quickly seized it with its claws. The mouse was now trapped between the cat's teeth and claws.
With the mouse in its mouth, Miu proudly carried its trophy outside to show its owner, receiving praise from everyone who saw its prowess.

Since we got the cat, our house has been completely free of mice, with no worries about damage or pilfered food.

Our cat knows exactly where the mice are, patiently waiting for them to leave their nest in search of food before pouncing. That day, the cat lay on the ridge between two houses, likely near a mouse nest. It lay in wait for an attack, its eyes fixed and ears perked, ready to pounce. Finally, the mouse appeared, its eyes darting around nervously. As soon as it climbed onto the roof, the cat leaped and pounced, swiftly incapacitating the cunning mouse. Remarkably, our cat catches mice but doesn't eat them; it quietly carries them to a corner of the garden and leaves them there. We've lost count of how many times my mother has had to dispose of mouse corpses due to the cat's numerous exploits.
Everyone in our family admires the cat's mouse-catching skills and agility. Thanks to it, our family enjoys peaceful nights without the annoying sounds of mice scurrying, breaking, and nibbling.
