The beauty of the countryside in my homeland is abundant, but my favorite is the scene of every morning starting afresh in my village, so incredibly beautiful!
A new day in the countryside begins earlier than in the city. From when the moon is still faintly hanging high, a hazy white hue spreads everywhere. At the horizon, the white turns gradually into pink. The pale pink turns brighter, then gradually reddens as the sun rises. The fresh pink spreads out, shining everywhere. Along with the transition of light comes the shift of sound. From the still-dark sky, a lone rooster crows somewhere. The rooster's crow grows, then weaves into a chain of echoing sounds throughout the village. Fainter chirps and chirrups come from the clusters of trees. Birds chirp cheerfully, welcoming a new day. Finally, the murmurs of people trickle out from each house, then converge into a bustling hum along the village streets. My village, though sparse in crossroads and pathways, all pours out onto the canal bank. That's the main road of the entire village leading to the vast fields ahead. The quiet road in the mist gradually fills with the lively sounds of people. Everyone is cheerful, bustling into a new day. Laughter, the sound of plows, footsteps—all spill onto the large canal-side road. Thin mist blankets the path. The blazing red of the sun has disappeared, making it seem quite refreshed. Ancient coconut trees laden with fruit elegantly reflect in the water, their branches spreading wide, covering the entire road. The morning sun casts a golden glow on the road, bringing warmth to the chilly ground. The air is fresh and cool. The little ones also begin their day anew. Some carry backpacks, some swing bags happily to school, eager to recite their lessons, chirping like young birds. The mother hen leisurely leads her chicks to the garden to search for food. At the corner of the pond, a flock of ducks hurriedly swims down to the water's surface.
The village road bustles for about half an hour then returns to serene tranquility. Coconut trees lining the road stand like soldiers, watching the procession of people heading to the fields slowly disappearing amidst the vast green of rice fields and the deep blue of the sky. A new day begins in my homeland!
