II. Sample Essay: Describing an Evening on the Beach
Last summer, my parents took me on a trip to Da Nang, the city known as the most livable city in Vietnam. While there are many famous scenic spots here, I particularly enjoyed the evening scene on the beach. It exudes a serene and simple charm.
When looking to relax or simply take a stroll, the beach is an excellent choice. On the last day of our stay in Da Nang, my family decided to visit the beach. We arrived at Pham Van Dong beach around 5 o'clock in the evening. From a distance, I could hear the soothing sound of the waves crashing onto the shore. The evening sun gently cast its light over the vast expanse of white sand, creating a tranquil atmosphere. The sand here is fine and plentiful, adorned with footprints of those who had walked the beach. The beach is wide and clean, devoid of any litter. The azure sea gently lapped against the shore, forming frothy white waves, a sight to behold.
Since it was a Thursday, not a weekend, the beach wasn't crowded. There were only a few couples holding hands, strolling along the beach, engaged in conversation, occasionally interrupted by a jogger passing by. As I gazed into the distance, I saw faint outlines of boats on the horizon, and fishermen busy pulling in their nets. But most captivating of all was the sunset at sea, a sight my family eagerly anticipated. Against the deep blue sky, wisps of clouds occasionally took on hues of pink and gold, reminiscent of the colors of a sunset.
