Written Work
Tip: How to write an engaging and captivating descriptive essay
In our backyard, the orange tree has swayed its ripe golden fruits, looking irresistibly adorable.
Not long ago, the orange tree stood short and stout like a toddler, but now it has grown tall, bearing clusters of sweet fruits. Standing about five meters tall, it resembles a giant sunshade. Its sturdy trunk is akin to the arm of a weightlifter. It looks even healthier with the spikes adorning its branches. The leaves grow well and are short and green, arranged alternately, with smooth and quite thick edges. When in season, the orange tree blooms beautifully. The flowers grow singly or in small clusters, each blossom fitting snugly in the palm of a hand with five white petals and numerous stamens. The flowers often emit a strong fragrance, especially at noon, spreading throughout the air. After a while, small oranges greet the world. The fruit is of the segmented variety, round and juicy, dangling from the branches like small lanterns. When peeled, inside is a layer of thin, long white pith surrounding juicy segments full of moisture. On a scorching summer afternoon, having a glass of chilled sweet orange juice or eating a piece of orange makes all weariness vanish, leaving only a pleasant aroma and a slightly tangy, refreshing taste.
Orange trees are highly versatile and beloved, hence they are cultivated in many places. I also cherish the orange tree in my home and will always take care of it so it grows quickly.
