Sample essay: Describing the cherished school campus.
Today, as the sun rises gracefully, I arrived at school earlier than usual to take on morning duty. The beloved campus of mine emerges faintly behind the lush trees.
It's still early in the morning, so the schoolyard remains tranquil, with only the sound of sweeping brooms echoing across the ground. Occasionally, a few early birds, like myself, arrive for morning duty. The cool morning breeze gently sways the branches of the trees, and some birds chirp as if calling out to each other after a long slumber. The morning air is refreshingly crisp, making me feel invigorated and content. The corridors are clean and neat, and the classrooms are decorated uniformly. Inside the classrooms, desks are neatly aligned, exuding warmth and familiarity. At the front, the familiar blackboard stands silently on the wall, adorned with an image of Uncle Ho with his white beard and kind eyes, seemingly watching over us as we study.
I diligently sweep and tidy up the classroom, ensuring its cleanliness, before wiping down the desks and blackboard. After completing my morning duty, I leisurely stroll out to the veranda to await the arrival of my classmates. It's during this time that I get the chance to admire the scenery of the school. Across the courtyard stands a row of yellow buildings housing the principal's office, teachers' lounge, and the library. Though the yellow walls have faded over the years, they steadfastly guard our school. The sun has risen higher now, casting its warm rays onto the courtyard. The cemented playground is spacious, surrounded by two-story buildings. Standing proudly in the center is the towering flagpole, with the red flag fluttering proudly in the morning breeze. The playground boasts numerous large trees, but my favorites are the two majestic phoenix trees in the middle. In the summer, they bloom with vibrant red flowers, resembling flames against the deep blue sky, signaling the arrival of exams and summer vacation. Behind my classroom block lies a small, charming vineyard with various types of plants. As the sky brightens, birds begin to chirp merrily on the branches, and the sun's rays warm the ground, awakening our school from its slumber. The playground suddenly comes alive with chatter and excitement. I enter the classroom eagerly, ready for the first lesson of the day.
I have a deep affection for my school. It has witnessed countless beautiful memories of innocent and carefree school days. I remind myself to always be diligent and studious, aspiring to become a valuable member of society and contribute to preserving and promoting the school's noble traditions.
