Detailed guide for 4th-grade students on describing cacti:
Descriptive essay about the Cactus
Assignment
By the window, I've placed some adorable small ornamental pots, among which my favorite is the cactus.
Cacti are famous in the desert, amidst sand and harsh sunlight. However, the cactus in my ornamental pot is smaller and softer. It's not large but rather petite, growing close to the ground, about 10 centimeters tall. It looks like a little dwarf, wearing a flower as a hat on its head. To adapt to the hot, dry climate, the cactus has a chubby stem that stores plenty of water. Its shape appears prickly with thorns protruding as if to threaten. Yet, their flowers are enchanting with vibrant colors, evenly and uniformly distributed. The flower crown is quite large and has stamens inside. The cactus has a bitter taste as a result of its formation process, growing in the desert; sometimes, it even has milky sap inside. Cacti are easy to live with and adaptable, so taking care of them is quite simple. Occasionally, I sprinkle a little warm water on the plant, but just a little, or else the cactus will become waterlogged.
Small ornamental pots add coziness to the house, especially the cactus pot, which is both beautiful and easy to care for. Therefore, it is cherished dearly by my whole family.
