1. Describing Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, Sample 1 (Standard)
Since the first grade, I've harbored the wish to visit Uncle Ho's Mausoleum. However, due to the distance and family circumstances, it wasn't until now, in the fifth grade, that I got the opportunity to pay a visit.
During this visit, our guide provided detailed explanations, leaving a deep impression on me regarding the immense values and significance of Uncle Ho's Mausoleum. From the entrance gate, it takes quite a walk to reach the mausoleum. Along the way, everyone queues silently, maintaining solemnity and sincerity. Flanking the main entrance are two mature dahlias. In front and behind the mausoleum, 79 banyan trees are planted, symbolizing Bác's 79 springs of life.
On the north and south sides stand two bamboo groves, representing the straightforwardness and integrity of the Vietnamese people. Before the mausoleum's entrance, two soldiers stand guard, dressed in white uniforms, exuding solemnity. Inside, Bác rests peacefully in eternal slumber. His gentle and benevolent face resembles the photos of him we see daily in our classrooms. Witnessing this image, our group visiting the mausoleum was filled with both emotion and solemnity. In front of the mausoleum lies Ba Dinh Square, where military parades and flag ceremonies take place, surrounded by lush green grass and a flagpole with two daily flag-raising and lowering ceremonies.
I hope to have the chance to visit Uncle Ho's Mausoleum during one of these flag ceremonies to truly experience the sacred and solemn atmosphere here.
2. Describing Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, Sample 2 (Standard)
I once heard a verse, which goes:
'From the South, I journeyed to Uncle Ho's Mausoleum
Amidst the mist, bamboo groves stretch endlessly'
That verse sparked the desire to visit Uncle Ho's Mausoleum in me, and it always reminds me of the great elder father of the Vietnamese nation.
Uncle Ho's Mausoleum is a vast complex within Ba Dinh Square. It is constructed in a cubic form with a three-tiered structure, with the upper and lower tiers designed as three-tiered pedestals. The middle tier is wider and taller, featuring square columns running along its perimeter. Above the front of the Mausoleum is the inscription 'President Ho Chi Minh', while below is the entrance into the mausoleum.
Inside Uncle Ho's Mausoleum lies a glass sarcophagus containing the remains of Uncle Ho. He rests there peacefully, resembling someone in slumber. Visitors circle around, their gaze fixed on Uncle Ho. Some cannot contain their emotions and shed tears, yet everyone strives to maintain silence so as not to disturb Uncle Ho's rest. Upon exiting the mausoleum, one is greeted with a vast and serene sky, which is Ba Dinh Square. Here stands a flagpole with a large red flag bearing a golden star. Every day, the guards perform flag-raising ceremonies in the morning and lowering ceremonies in the evening. What impresses me most about the mausoleum is the lush green bamboo grove. While queuing to enter the mausoleum, standing beneath the bamboo, I hear various peculiar sounds – the chirping of birds, the lowing of cattle, almost as if I could hear Uncle Ho reading the Declaration of Independence.
If given the chance to return to Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, I will take meticulous notes to recount the most detailed and authentic experience of the mausoleum to my friends and everyone else.
3. Describing Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, Sample 3 (Standard)
Before, I had only seen Uncle Ho's Mausoleum through pictures, newspapers, and TV, never in person. I was fortunate that during the recent summer break, my parents took me to visit the mausoleum. It was a long-awaited wish of mine.
I had seen many documentaries and images of Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, but I was still overwhelmed by its grandeur and vastness. The mausoleum resembles a colossal stone amidst the surrounding greenery – the sky above, the grassy expanse in front, and trees on three sides. Constructed with gray stone, the front of the mausoleum bears the bold inscription 'President Ho Chi Minh', which deeply moved me.
Standing within the grounds of Uncle Ho's Mausoleum feels like standing in a tranquil oasis, where one hears only the wind and birdsong. Despite the hundreds of people queued for visitation, there is a serene silence. The mausoleum is famous for its towering bamboo groves, which I had the chance to witness. I also saw rows of white and purple orchids planted on either side of the mausoleum. Outside the mausoleum entrance, two guards stand watch, solemn and still as statues. Inside, Uncle Ho rests peacefully in slumber. Gazing upon his face, I felt deeply moved.
I regret that my visit to Uncle Ho's Mausoleum was brief. If given the opportunity, I would invite many friends to visit the mausoleum together.
