Every year, when Tet comes, our home is adorned with various flowers. One of the most impressive pots is the lily flower pot.

My grandmother has been cultivating flowers for a long time, but her deepest passion lies with the bed of lilies. Occasionally joining her in the garden to care for the flowers, I gradually developed an affection for these lilies.
The stems are green and straight but surprisingly soft. Thus, even when small, my grandmother often uses small sticks for support to help the lily plants grow strong. The leaves grow directly and densely from the stem. As the lily plants mature, the buds start to appear, resembling large and long feather pens. Each lily plant will have three to four flowers. While lilies bloom throughout the year, they are most beautiful during Tet. My grandmother cultivates lilies to sell during Tet for families to bring home. Lily flowers come in various colors: white, pink, yellow, orange, and more. After months of care, I witnessed the first buds emerging from the plant. Each stem had three to four distinct flowers, all elegantly elongated and slender. One morning, as I prepared to go to school, I noticed the first blossom had unfurled. It felt truly miraculous to see the flowers bloom from the pot I had personally nurtured. The pointed petals were a pale yellow but captivating, with the color deepening near the stem and fading towards the edges. Delicate, intricate dark spots adorned the petals, adding a touch of sophistication. With only one bloom, its intense fragrance had already filled my entire home. Although lilies may resemble trumpet flowers at a glance, they are distinct. Their size surpasses that of trumpets, and the fragrance is much more pronounced. Excited, I immediately called my grandparents to share the news.
Previously, I had never tried growing any plants. However, after receiving the potted lilies from my grandfather, I suddenly found a newfound love for plants, especially this particular type of flower.
