Describing the Shameful Tree (the Virgin Tree)
Essay
I've always been curious about why there's a tree called the Shameful Tree, so my stepmother shared with me the Tale of the Shameful Tree, which is truly captivating and meaningful.
The Shameful Tree thrives abundantly in rural villages. It boasts a subtle, elegant beauty that isn't immediately noticeable. It grows in clusters, densely intertwined and lush. Its soft, green trunk extends mysteriously, adorned with small, white thorns resembling spikes, serving as its defense mechanism against any aggressors. Along the trunk, small branches protrude horizontally, each adorned symmetrically with delicate, soft leaves. If you gently pluck these leaves and release them into the air, they flutter down like exquisite green raindrops. The Shameful Tree also bears flowers, small and dainty in shades of pink or red, each possessing its own unique charm. Its petals coil around like cotton threads forming a spherical shape. The name 'Shameful Tree' hints at its characteristics; it's also known as the Virgin Flower, demure and bashful like a newly blossomed maiden. Upon slight disturbance, it promptly showcases its modesty by folding its leaves like a shy girl hiding behind her sleeves. Only after a moment do these leaves unfold again. Truly miraculous!
The Shameful Tree is indeed a gift from nature, a testament to its ingenious creativity in crafting such a remarkable species.
