One day, as I was cycling home after school, I noticed the distinct green uniform of the soldiers. I pedaled quickly to get a closer look and greeted, 'Hello, Uncle Soldier!' He turned around in surprise, and to my amazement, it was Uncle Nam from Aunt Hai's family. He looked different, much more mature than before.
Uncle Nam has grown taller and more robust, his skin tanned and rugged. From head to toe, he wears the army green uniform, a helmet adorned with a bright star, and a backpack filled to the brim with various items. The backpack looks heavy, but Uncle Nam carries it effortlessly on his shoulders with a straight posture. His green, high-top military boots add to his impressive appearance. Despite being home for Tet, he maintains the discipline and neatness of a soldier. Every day, I see him waking up early for a jog and exercising in the alley. At home, he actively helps our grandparents with tasks ranging from chopping wood to fixing the roof and taking care of livestock. Wherever he goes, people adore him, asking about his well-being and playfully urging him to find a wife, to which he responds with a hearty laugh.

I greatly admire Sergeant Dat's demeanor, as when standing guard, he and the other soldiers maintain a serious and unwavering posture, resembling sturdy pillars. Their stance remains unchanged, with heads held high and eyes constantly focused on observing in all directions. Achieving such composure is no easy task for ordinary people, but Sergeant Dat maintains this dignified posture throughout his shift until the next guard takes over.
