No matter how stellar these games are, they still receive an abundance of criticism.
Electronic superhero games, particularly those from DC, have stood the test of time, some dating back almost 40 years to the release of Atari 2600's Superman in 1979. While DC's game releases have become less frequent in recent years, their superhero titles continue to be highly acclaimed for their quality. However, there are still numerous projects that seem to be overlooked for a very basic reason: creating superheroes who are too feeble compared to the norm.
The Injustice Series
One of the core challenges of any fighting game is maintaining balance among its characters. For renowned titles like Mortal Kombat 1 or Street Fighter, developers can easily introduce diverse character rosters. However, The Injustice Series faces a unique dilemma.

Simply because the characters are superheroes with abilities and skills derived directly from comics and movies. Therefore, developers must strive for balance. This often results in unforeseen circumstances, such as Batman occasionally being stronger than Superman.
Gotham Knights
Essentially, Gotham Knights is structured around a gear system, which means its 4 central characters start off a bit weak. This is also a way for developers to encourage players to seek out gear and new abilities to upgrade their characters on their journey.

However, sometimes gamers aren't fond of that. A prime example is Red Hood, who is weak across the board. The bullets from Red Hood's firearms hardly inflict any damage, at least until this superhero is upgraded.
DC Lego Games
With the primary aim of creating entertaining and enjoyable scenarios for children, DC LEGO Games deliberately toned down the power levels of the majority of its superhero lineup and even its villains.

Furthermore, to simplify matters to the utmost, the publisher also condensed the characters' moves into basic physical attacks, punches, and kicks instead of the intricate skills found in the source material. Luckily, Superman still retains the ability to shoot laser beams from his eyes. However, that alone is enough for DC LEGO Games to receive countless criticisms.
