A section of LPL fans sparked outrage by insulting the legend Uzi on his streaming channel.
The Spring 2022 LPL tournament holds special significance within the Chinese LoL community and Riot's gaming enthusiasts worldwide. This season marks the return of legendary marksman Uzi to the professional arena. Notably, he isn't appearing as a coach or analyst but as a player, competing for glory alongside his younger teammates at Bilibili Gaming.

However, despite being one of the world's League of Legends legends, Uzi is facing derogatory remarks and taunts from anti-fans in his own country. During a stream on December 16th (Vietnam time), Uzi expressed deep frustration upon seeing insulting comments directed at him. Specifically, some anti-fans have used Uzi's empty-handed performance at the World Championship and his battle with diabetes as fodder for mockery and insult.
Uzi vents frustration as anti-fans use his lack of World Championship title and battle with diabetes as grounds for mockery
'They're berating me because I haven't won the World Championship title yet. But does that warrant hatred? Winning the World Championship isn't as simple as one might think. There are hundreds of thousands of players every year competing, and only 5 emerge victorious. Winning the World Championship isn't just a matter of desire.' - Uzi expressed his frustration.
'They can insult me however they want, but calling me 'little sugar' (a derogatory term for diabetics) is crossing the line. Anyone who has experienced it knows, managing medication while competing isn't easy. Stop using my illness as a joke. It's really not funny at all. I feel immense pressure.'
In Uzi's professional career as a player, the biggest regret for him and his fans is the absence of the World Championship trophy. Despite being hailed as a 'legend in the bot lane', respected by all other players worldwide, deep within Uzi's heart, he still longs to touch the most prestigious title in the life of a LoL player. As for diabetes, it's the result of intense training months without proper lifestyle and diet. This disease is one of the reasons why Uzi had to take a long break from professional LoL.

It can be said that Uzi's decision to return to professional LoL is very courageous. Besides the pressure from matches, he also faces pressure from the audience. But perhaps, for Uzi, playing and seeking new titles are his raison d'être, and he's willing to face everything to pursue his dreams.
