Sensor Tower Store Intelligence data reveals that ByteDance's mobile gaming category has generated over 1 billion dollars globally from player spending on the App Store and Google Play in the past 12 months. ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, has accumulated nearly 3.7 billion downloads to date and 5.4 billion USD in consumer spending, excluding its Android counterpart Douyin in China. Over the past two years, the company has diversified its business operations into the mobile gaming sector to challenge industry giants like Tencent and NetEase.

Apart from generating over 1 billion dollars, ByteDance's mobile games have garnered approximately 139 million installations from June 21, 2021, to June 20, 2022.
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang stands as ByteDance's most successful mobile game investment, racking up over 78 million downloads last year, accounting for around 56% of the total installations. Following closely is Ragnarok X: Next Generation in the second position. Indonesia ranks as the top country for ByteDance's downloads in the past year, capturing about 25% of the company's total mobile game installations, driven by Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, ranking second in mobile game installations in the region during this period.
Meanwhile, China ranks second in downloads (solely on the App Store), with the Philippines making it to the top 3. ByteDance's largest market in terms of player spending last year was Japan, accounting for approximately 34% of the total revenue from mobile games.
