This being our first time in Phu Quoc, there were many unknowns, but our trip went smoothly as we wanted to explore every inch.
Detailed 4-Day, 3-Night Itinerary at Novotel Phu Quoc - Explore the Emerald Island in Depth
Accommodation
- My friend booked a 5-star resort, Novotel Phu Quoc, and round-trip Vietjet flights on the Mytour app for 6.6 million VND for the two of us. Our room had a sea and pool view.

- Novotel Phu Quoc boasts 2 or 3 large swimming pools, a gym, sauna, restaurants, a reading room, tennis courts, a children's area, and more. The breakfast buffet is decent, although it was quite empty due to the pandemic.
DAY 1:
- Arrived at Novotel Phu Quoc resort and were greeted by the staff. They provided airport transfers, checked us in, and we had lunch. We asked the resort to rent a motorbike for 3 days (200k per day).
- After lunch, we went to Rạch Vẹm Beach to see the starfish, which are a specialty of Phu Quoc during this season. We set off around 4 PM, only to realize that it's better to go in the morning when the tide is higher and more starfish are visible. There are also some food stalls here with reasonable prices, but we left around 6 PM because we were concerned about the deserted roads at night.

- In the evening, we went to the Phu Quoc night market for seafood. Then we returned to the resort for a leisurely stroll, swimming, and gym session, marking the end of day 1.
DAY 2:
- On day 2, we went to Safari + Vinpearl Phu Quoc. We asked the resort to arrange the tour for us as it was quite far from where we stayed, opting for the complimentary bus pickup at the resort at 8:40 AM. In my opinion, it's best to do the Safari first.

- Afterward, we took the bus to Vinwonder, so it's advisable to go around 3 PM to catch the mermaid show in the aquarium. Then we toured until the evening and caught the bus back.
- After resting, we went to dine at Spicy Chili restaurant in the evening.

DAY 3:
- We went on the 4-island tour + Hon Thom cable car, which includes meals, a complimentary fly cam ride at Cloud Island, coral viewing, and walking underwater (viewing through glass is free, walking incurs an additional cost of over 1 million VND per person).
- The sea was beautiful and clear, but the islands were a bit small. Since we enjoy taking photos, we focused more on photography rather than getting in the water. If others prefer, they can take the cable car for a different experience, or they can go squid fishing and deep-sea fishing before returning by canoe. If opting for the cable car, return to An Thoi station and take a taxi back to the city center.
- After the tour, we visited the most beautiful sunset spot in Phu Quoc, Sunset Sanato, with tickets priced at 100k VND per person. There's a beach bar in the evening for those interested, but after a long day, we opted for a taxi ride back.
- Then, we went to have bun quay at Kiến Xây (50k per bowl, self-serve condiments).
DAY 4:
- This day was reserved for resort activities. We woke up to have breakfast buffet at the resort as usual, then checked out and spent some time wandering around and visiting the resort's beach. The beach had smooth golden sand and crystal-clear blue water, truly stunning. Afterward, we checked out and headed to the airport to fly back to Saigon. Thus concludes our trip to Phu Quoc.
To capture beautiful photos after the trip, it's advisable to find a companion who enjoys photography and has an eye for composition. Don't forget to prepare stylish outfits to create some fabulous shots.
