In terms of configuration, both the Mate 30 Pro and P40 series are quite similar.
Both models are equipped with EMUI 10 operating system by Huawei, along with the Kirin 990 octa-core CPU and Mali-G76 MP16 GPU. One common drawback for both is the absence of Google services, meaning users face difficulties accessing Google-related utilities and services.

Both Huawei Mate 30 Pro and P40 are highly acclaimed for their rear camera setups. However, P40 edges slightly ahead in comparison, offering better zoom capabilities and capturing more stable, visually appealing videos than Mate 30 Pro.
3. Some Differences in Design Between the Two Devices
Discussing design, these two smartphones have completely different aesthetics. The P40 lacks the edge-to-edge display design of the Mate 30 Pro, making it appear larger and thicker. Additionally, the camera setups differ significantly. While the Mate 30 Pro features a centrally positioned front camera and a distinctive circular arrangement for the rear cameras, the P40 places its front camera in the top left corner and adopts a rectangular rear camera module placed on the left side.
Furthermore, on the P40, the volume control button is no longer touch-sensitive like the Mate 30 Pro; instead, it adopts a familiar physical button design located on the right side of the device.
