Light review of my Sông Cầu - Phu Yen 3D2N trip. Spent a lot of time at the beach, resulting in a sun-kissed tan. Picked and chose a few locations to visit.
In-depth review of Phu Yen's wonders during my 3-day stay.
1. Dining in Phu Yen:
- Thành Tâm's special crab noodle soup at 53 Dien Bien Phu. Unique noodle threads make this a breakfast favorite. Ate here for both breakfasts, and it's unbelievably delicious.
- Aunt Mai's Beef - 350 Tran Hung Dao. Specializes in beef and deep-sea tuna eye. Also offers delicious fresh tuna sashimi. Went on a rainy day, but the place was still packed with locals.
- Dông Sausage at 92 Nguyen Cong Tru
- Hau Porridge at 363 Le Loi
- Super Cute Coffee: A bit of sunshine, a bit of breeze, a bit of grassy aroma like the clouds

- Sizzling Pancake near Hafaza Hotel
- Mười Xí's Mai Fish Salad
- Năm An's Grilled Chicken Joint
- Bluesea Coffee: Citrus High Tea Experience

Traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to Phu Yen offers various transportation options: airplane, bus, train, and more.
Bus: There are many types of buses, from regular to limousine, with a journey of around 10 hours.
Airplane: Snagged a great deal at 1.6 million VND per person.
Renting a motorbike in Phu Yen costs 150k VND per day, and the spacious lead bike is perfect for carrying belongings.

- Morning: Visit Nghinh Phong Tower in the city center, inspired by the iconic stone rapids representing the local culture and the legend of 'A Hundred Eggs, A Hundred Offspring' from Lac Long Quan and Au Co. I went around 7:30 am, so it was quiet for photos without worrying about crowds.
- Bãi Xép – Film Set of 'Yellow Flowers on Green Grass' (12km from city center). Entrance fee: 20k VND/person.
- Afternoon: Mui Dien (34km from city center). This is the first sunrise spot in Vietnam. The mountainous route to Mui Dien offers breathtaking views of the blue sea on one side and mountains on the other. Entrance fee: 20k VND/person, parking fee: 5k VND.
*Note: Climbing the stairs here is quite far and exhausting. Spend 100k VND/person for a round-trip motorbike ride to the lighthouse to avoid regret.

Motorbike ride or taxi (~500k VND/one way) or bus (~45k VND/person) to Quê Tôi Village. On day 1, explore casually, and on day 2, stayed at Quê Tôi Village for 2.1 million VND/night. Highly recommend this place – the villa overlooks Vinh Xuan Dai Bay, peaceful and charming. Loved everything from the villa to the staff.
Noon: Had lunch at the villa, quite satisfying.
Evening: At 6 PM, drove to Quy Nhon city (45km) for dinner and visited Suft Bar Quy Nhon (drinks priced around 40-50k VND).

Spent the remaining day in Quê Tôi indulging in the serenity, then headed back.
On the way from Tuy Hoa City to Sông Cầu, you'll encounter Bằng Lăng Church and the Ong Cop Bridge. Near Quê Tôi, there's Rạng Beach, Từ Nham Sea, White Sand Dunes at Từ Nham, Nhất Tự Sơn Island (with a road through the sea similar to Điệp Sơn), Xuân Đài Bay, and more. Give them a try!
