From late October to mid-May, Phu Quoc enters its peak season. Here's a super detailed itinerary suggestion for your fantastic 4-day, 3-night trip to Phu Quoc.
Detailed itinerary review of 4-day, 3-night trip to Phu Quoc
1. TRANSPORTATION:
– Airfare: I booked round-trip tickets for 4 adults and 1 child (6 years old). Outbound flight with Vietjet Air, return with Vietnam Airlines. The round-trip price is 3050k/person.
– Car: Upon arrival at Phu Quoc Airport, there will be someone waiting to take you to the hotel for free. On the day of check-out, transportation will be provided to the airport. Additionally, for convenience in exploring dining and entertainment spots, I rented motorcycles at the hotel (price 150k/day/motorcycle).

2. ACCOMMODATION:
I booked a 3-star hotel, Praha Hotel. The hotel provides airport shuttle service, buffet breakfast, clean rooms, 2 swimming pools, and friendly, helpful staff.
3. DINING:
When visiting Phu Quoc, besides indulging in Instagram-worthy check-ins, you must try the local seafood cuisine. There are plenty of excellent seafood restaurants to explore. Just search on Google Maps for directions, no need to worry about getting lost!
– Ra Khơi Seafood Restaurant: The seafood here is fresh and delicious, albeit a bit pricey.
– Seafood Conveyor Hotpot Cát Biển: This place offers delicious food at reasonable prices.
– Kiến Xây Stir-Fried Vermicelli: A unique and fun experience where diners customize their own seasoning to suit their taste buds.
– Tươi Thắm Family Restaurant: Delicious food served in a clean kitchen, offering incredibly tasty dishes at very affordable prices.
– Broken Rice Stall (the one near the hotel is the best).
4. ITINERARY:
Day 1: Sao Beach – Phu Quoc Night Market
– We arrived in Phu Quoc at 2 p.m. The hotel's shuttle was ready to take us to check-in. After settling in and changing, we rested for 15-20 minutes, then went to the reception desk to rent a car and headed to the nearby stall for Broken Rice.
– After a satisfying meal at 3:30 PM, we asked for directions to Sao Beach (25km from Duong Dong town). Sao Beach is stunning this time of year, with its pristine white sands and iconic leaning coconut trees—perfect for photo ops. Don't forget to snap a picture on the swing (20k per turn).

– Around 5 PM, we returned to the hotel to freshen up before heading back to town for dinner at Ra Khơi restaurant and a visit to Phu Quoc Night Market. Here, you'll find a wide variety of tasty snacks, including coconut worms, souvenir thot not cakes, and assorted chou chou pastries.
Day 2: 4-Island Tour + Hon Thom Cable Car + Sunset Sanato
– For this trip to Phu Quoc, I booked a package tour covering the 4-island tour, Hon Thom cable car, and Sunset Sanato. Everything was excellent. The all-inclusive tour features transportation, a guide, canoeing, cable car ride, lunch, snorkeling, underwater photography, and Flycam footage.

Day 3: Phu Quoc Prison, Ho Quoc Pagoda, Dinh Cau, Ong Lang Beach
– After an exhilarating day on the 4-island tour, we slept in until 9 AM, then had breakfast and brushed our teeth. At 10 AM, we headed out on motorbikes to visit Phu Quoc Prison and Ho Quoc Pagoda along the route to Sao Beach.
– For lunch, we tried the Stir-Fried Vermicelli at Kiến Xây, then headed to Ong Lang Beach. Ong Lang Beach is expansive, with many Russian-themed establishments. We strolled along the shoreline, capturing beautiful sunset moments. There are also picturesque willow groves here, perfect for deep Instagram shots.

Day 4: Leisurely Coffee and Departure
– Today, we rented a bike to explore the town and find a lunch spot. Luckily, we stumbled upon Tươi Thắm restaurant, which offered delicious and affordable meals. After lunch, we spent over 3 hours at a cafe before returning the bike and getting a ride from the hotel receptionist to the airport for our flight back to Hanoi.
So, the expenses for the Phu Quoc trip, including airfare, meals, accommodation, and activities, totaled around 5,650k/person. Phu Quoc boasts beautiful weather, stunning landscapes, and friendly locals. I'm definitely coming back here.
