What's Hot in Fortnite 13.20 Update?
1. Brand New Flare Gun
The 13.20 update brings a new addition, the Flare Gun, which we've seen teased since before Fortnite Chapter 2 emerged. The Flare Gun holds 6 rounds, dealing 60 damage upon direct hit, with a reload time of 1.5 seconds. While not particularly effective as a weapon, its primary utility lies in igniting opponent structures, exerting pressure to force enemies out of hiding spots.
2. Portable Upgrade Bench - Mobile Workbench
Workbenches in Fortnite are typically found in locked positions, somewhat concealed. Now, you can carry crafting power with the mobile workbench. However, this isn't a new item.
To obtain the mobile workbench, simply head to one of the fixed workbenches, also known as Upgrade Benches, and smash it with a pickaxe or harvesting tool. Instead of breaking into materials, it will spawn as an item you can pick up. Toss that item at a new location, and the workbench will respawn.
3. Island Waters Receding
As expected, the water covering half of Fortnite's island is starting to recede back into the ocean. This will unveil new locations. Unfortunately, no new locations have been revealed yet, but we can see the peaks of some areas beginning to emerge from the water.
4. Bug Fixes
As usual, Epic has addressed some bugs appearing in Fortnite. Epic hasn't provided a full-fledged update note with all the details, but here's what they say they've fixed via Trello:
- Specialist Pickaxe and Arroyo Pack Back Bling detail loss fixed for some players.
- Music playback issue on Main Stage in Party Royale mode resolved.
- Sandstorm now properly displays hair when equipped with No Mask No Cowl.
- Players no longer take damage when falling from ziplines into shallow water.
- Legendary SMG and Epic Pump now consistently sidegradeable.
- Chug Splash now functions correctly when thrown at a bush.
- Supply Drop no longer pushes loot items under the map.
The new Flare Gun can ignite structures, Portable Upgrade Bench allows players to upgrade weapons on the go, and several bug fixes bring various improvements, making the game smoother - these are all the notable changes in the Fortnite 13.20 update, now available on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
And don't forget, you can also play Fortnite Mobile on PC through emulation software to play with teammates using phones!
