Guide to Disable Autoplay in Windows 8.1
Method 1:
Step 1: Press the Windows + X key combination, then select Control Panel to access the Control Panel window in Windows 8.1
Step 2: In the Control Panel window, choose Hardware and Sound
Step 3: In the Hardware and Sound window, select Autoplay
Step 4: Uncheck the box next to Use Autoplay for all media and devices, then press Save to save the settings. That's it, from now on, when you connect external devices, drives, etc., the system won't run them automatically anymore.

Step 1: Press the Windows + C key combination, then select Settings -->Change PC settings
Step 2: Choose PC and devices in the PC settings window
Step 3: In the PC and devices window, select Autoplay and in the Use Autoplay for all media and devices section, switch from On to Off to disable automatic running mode in the system.
