As you may know, the speed of your computer booting into Windows depends partly on the number of startup programs. Some programs always run when you start your machine. The same goes for Google Drive. If you don't use it much, consider disabling this feature. Simply open Google Drive when you need it.
Apart from Google Drive, it's essential to check other applications on your computer. Speeding up the boot time is always necessary. Now, let's get back to Mytour's guide on how to disable Google Drive's Windows startup feature on your computer.
Step 1: Right-click on the Google Drive icon and then click the three-dot icon as shown in the image.
Step 2: Next, select Preference to access the settings section.
Step 3: Go to the Advanced tab and uncheck Start Google Driveon system startup.
Step 4: Restart your computer, and you'll notice that Google Drive no longer starts with your computer.
The removal of Google Drive is now complete. If you have any other online storage software like Dropbox installed on your computer, remember to remove it from the list of apps that start with Windows. If you haven't used Dropbox before, create a Dropbox account now as it's just as convenient as Google Drive.
