By default, after creating a Hotmail, Outlook account, or logging in through the Mail app on Windows 10, the system will set up to display a preview of the content on the mail app screen. To avoid directly showing unnecessary content messages that can be distracting on the Mail app, you can turn off, disable the preview feature for email content on Windows 10.
Disable the preview feature for email content on Windows 10
Step 1: Launch the Mail application on Windows 10. In this guide, we use a Gmail account registered with Outlook. If you don't have a Gmail inbox, sign up for Gmail and create a new Gmail account to enjoy various attractive services from Google.
Step 2: On the main interface of the Mail application, click on the gear icon Settings at the bottom of the interface.
Step 3: On the displayed sliding bar, navigate to the Reading section.
Step 4: In the Reading section, scroll down to the bottom, and you will find the option Show preview text is currently enabled (On). Use the left mouse button to click on the slider to turn off this option (Off).
After disabling the preview feature for email content on Windows 10, you can go back to the Mail inbox and notice that the content of the messages has been removed, showing only the sender and subject of the messages.
