Method 1: Uncheck Always perform this check when starting Firefox (1), then select NO (2).
Method 2: Open the browser, type about:config in the address bar, then press Enter.
- At this step, select I’ll be careful, I promise! to proceed.
- In the Search bar, type browser.shell.checkDefaultBrowser (1), you will see the entry browser.shell.checkDefaultBrowser below (2) under the Preference Name section, which checks the default browser.
- Under Preference Name, double-click on browser.shell.checkDefaultBrowser, or right-click and choose Toggle.
- Success is indicated if Value: false is displayed on the screen.
Method 3: On the main interface of Firefox, select Tools\Option following steps (1), (2). If Firefox is open without displaying the Tools menu bar, you can press Alt on the keyboard, then follow steps (1), (2).
- At this step, navigate to Advanced (1), under General (2) uncheck Always check to see if Firefox is the default browser on startup (3), then select OK (4).
